"Born an Artist", Jo Ann is basically self-taught and refined by apprenticeships with well known portraitists. Her experience has produced a strength and depth in her paintings that is conveyed to viewers through each painting she creates.

Jo Ann is a native Arkansan who spent much of her life in the Southwest, and her work reflects the strong colors of the deserts and mountains she loves. She takes realism to a point beyond and expresses the personality and soul of a person in the beautiful portraits that have been her lifetime work.

She is deeply involved in her gallery. Much of her work that graces the walls of the gallery is still life and landscape in oils, watercolor, pen and ink and pencil. Her work is purchased by clients from all over the United States. Redefining her God-given talent is her inspiration in life.

Jo Ann is a member of the Portrait Society of America, the International Miniature Society and the World Organization of China Painters.
